Privacy Notice
How we collect and use personal data when you use congahotel.com, and the choices you have. Last updated September 25, 2026.
Who we are
This website is operated by Infinipaz Sociedad de Responsabilidad Limitada (Infinipaz S.R.L.), which runs Conga Boutique Hotel, Calle Rosa, Puerto Viejo de Talamanca, Limón, Costa Rica. We decide how the personal data described in this notice is used.

What we collect and why
- Request and contact forms
- The details you enter, such as your name, email, phone number, dates, number of guests and message. We use them to answer you and to arrange what you ask for. Forms are delivered to our inbox by a form service, Web3Forms.
- If you message us, we see your phone number, profile name and messages, and use them to reply. WhatsApp is run by Meta under its own terms and privacy policy.
- If you email us, we use your message to reply. Our email is hosted by Google Workspace.
- Room reservations
- Bookings are made in our Cloudbeds booking engine. Cloudbeds processes your name, contact details, stay details and payment card information on our behalf so we can confirm and manage your stay. Card details are entered in the booking engine; this website does not store them.
- Analytics
- With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used: pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location, how you found us, and clicks such as “Check availability”. Google Consent Mode keeps analytics cookies off unless you accept them.
- Hosting and security
- The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as your IP address and browser information to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.
Why we are allowed to use your data
We use your data to take the steps you ask for before a booking and to carry out your reservation; to answer your messages and keep the site secure, which are our legitimate interests; to keep records the law requires; and, for analytics cookies, only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Cookies
We use essential cookies or similar storage to remember your consent choice and, where the booking engine is embedded, to make booking work. Analytics cookies are set only if you accept them in our consent banner; if you decline, no analytics cookies are placed on your device.
You can change your choice at any time in the site’s cookie settings, or by clearing this site’s cookies in your browser.
Who we share data with
Only with the providers that help us run this website and your stay (Cloudbeds, Google, Cloudflare, Meta for WhatsApp and Web3Forms) and, when you ask us to book a tour, transfer or other service, with the operator who provides it. We share only what they need, such as names, pick-up details and number of people. We may also disclose data when the law requires it.
We do not sell your personal data.
Some of these providers process data outside Costa Rica, including in the United States.
How long we keep it
We keep messages and requests for as long as we need them to answer you and to handle your stay, and reservation records for as long as the law requires. Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in our Google Analytics account.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive a copy in a portable format. You can withdraw your consent to analytics at any time. Email hola@congahotel.com and we will reply within the time the law requires.
In Costa Rica, personal data is protected by Law No. 8968, and you can contact the national data protection agency, PRODHAB (Agencia de Protección de Datos de los Habitantes). If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children and changes
This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect children’s personal data through it.
We will update this notice when our website or providers change, and show the new date at the top of the page.
