How long is the drive from SJO airport to Puerto Viejo?

Allow about 5 hours by road between Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) and Conga in Puerto Viejo de Talamanca. The route follows Route 32 through Braulio Carrillo National Park, which can close for a time after heavy rain, so the real journey time varies with traffic, weather and the stops you ask your driver to make.
